Target Audience Research

Once we had decided on the storyline for our film, we then focused on who our target audience would be. We based our target audience on the content within our film. We classed our film as a 15 certificate, which meant that our target audience had to be 15 and over. Our film focuses around the life of a teenage girl who isn't very popular within her college but gets invited to a parrty. These are the main components within our film leading to the target audience of our film being teenagers. The film is teen based so will gain more interest from teenagers, with the added fact that the film focuses around a party scene. Due to the main character being at college, a variation of teenagers will be able to relate to the storyline adding an emotional effect to the outcome of the story on the target audience. We choose to have our target audience as 15-19, closing the target audience at the age of 19 is merely due to the fact that by the age of 19 most people will have left college, and be at university or in full time work. And the effect of a house party has slightly worn off, due to them being more mature and aware of what happens.

Outfit Choice Scene Inspiration

When deciding on how we would portray this scene we took inspiration from many films we have watched ourselves over the years. One of the main films that we used as our inspiration is 'Wild Child 2008', this film has two scenes that focus around girls getting ready for a party, allowing us to see the many ways in which we ourselves could portray our main character getting ready for her party when trying on various different outfits.
